Any guest unimpressed by a party held on Liberty Island
should be kept off the invitation list—it doesn't get much
grander than an event held in the shadow of Lady Liberty.
Outdoor options include tents that can be arranged accord-
ing to your specific needs. National Park Ranger tours at
the historic monument are available, and guests are free
to wander the 12 pastoral acres of Liberty Island, with the
Manhattan skyline sparkling in the distance.
Located on Liberty Island in the New York Harbor, the Statue of
Liberty Enlightening the World was a gift of friendship from the
people of France to the people of the United States and is a
universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of
Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886, designated as a
National Monument in 1924 and restored for her centennial on
July 4, 1986.
