Sixth Avenue is about to turn into one giant dance floor at the 19th Annual Dance Parade in New York City. This energetic and joyful parade is particularly unique as it features over 10,000 dancers showcasing over 100 different dance styles in the streets of Manhattan. Spectators will see everything from classical ballet to hip-hop, samba, swing, and more! This celebration of movement showcases the diversity of dance with a beautiful display of rhythm, culture, and unfiltered joy that spills through the streets like a living, breathing work of art. Freedom to Dance in 2025
The 19th Annual Dance Parade & Festival is on May 17th, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will officially take place at 11:45 am.
The parade route will start at 6th Avenue and 17th Street, heading toward Avenue A and across 8th Street. It will conclude at Tompkins Square Park, where the post-parade festivities will begin. This includes aerial performances, a lively dance party, and free dance lessons for spectators.
