Celebrate International Women’s Day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC this March. The Met is known for highlighting women's many contributions to the arts throughout history. This year, the Met will host renowned classical pianist Sarah Cahill for a marathon performance featuring more than seventy compositions by women from around the world. The Future is Female with Sarah Cahill

For one day only, on March 8th, 2025, Sarah Cahill will perform her extraordinary project, The Future is Female. In this performance, Cahill explores and reinterprets the piano repertoire through compositions (70+) by women worldwide. Audiences will experience music spanning several centuries, from 1687 to 2020, while learning about the talented women composers behind these pieces.

The performance will take place in the Met's European Paintings 1250-1800 galleries from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and is free with the price of museum admission
