There’s something magical about summer in Brooklyn, especially when live music comes to Prospect Park’s Lena Horne Bandshell. For nearly five decades, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! has brought the borough together with a free outdoor concert series that’s as culturally captivating as the city itself.
Now in its 47th season, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! 2025 is spotlighting global sounds, local legends, and rising stars, many of whom call Brooklyn home. Here’s your guide to the city’s best free summer concert series.
What is BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn?
BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! is NYC’s longest-running free outdoor performance series, produced by BRIC, a leading arts and media institution. The series highlights music, dance, and film from artists around the world and around the corner.
When is BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! 2025?
The 2025 season runs from June through August, with events happening almost every week. Most shows start around 6:00 PM, making it the perfect post-work hang or weekend night out.
Where is BRIC Happening?
Most performances take place at the Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park, located near the 9th Street entrance. There’s also a family-friendly pop-up at Brower Park on July 19th.

How Do I Get Tickets?
Most shows are completely free, so no tickets required! Just show up early to grab a good spot. For a few select benefit concerts, like Still Woozy or Dinosaur Jr., tickets range from $47.50 to $58 and can be purchased through BRIC’s website or via Ticketmaster.
Anything Else I Should Know?
Bring a blanket, some snacks, and your dancing shoes. Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed, and there are plenty of local vendors on-site. This is a family-friendly community experience.
