Experience NYC Broadway Week

It’s theater-lovers’ favorite time of year. Broadway Week is back! It’s the perfect time to get discounted tickets to Broadway’s hottest new shows and beloved favorites, too. This is when theater stops feeling like a once-a-year treat and starts feeling like something you can fit into a normal week. A show after work. A matinee before dinner. A reason to meet friends in Times Square when you would otherwise avoid the chaos. You might finally see that show you always walk past, or take a chance on something new just because you can. We have all the details, so you can get your tickets and see one (or more) shows that have been on your must-see list.

What is Broadway Week?

Broadway Week is a semi-annual ticket promotion that gives you two Broadway tickets for the price of one. It is organized by Broadway show producers and coordinated through the Shubert Organization. It’s one of the most reliable ways to purchase theater seats at a serious discount. The deal is about 50% off each ticket, which is why locals circle these dates every year.

When is Broadway Week?

The Winter 2026 Broadway Week runs from January 20th through February 12th, 2026. Ticket sales officially open on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Broadway Week occurs twice a year, in February and September.

Who’s Offering the 2 for 1 Deal This Broadway Week?

This winter, 29 Broadway shows are taking part in the promotion. The lineup includes long-running favorites, newer hits, and a few buzz-worthy shows with limited runs. Expect major names like Wicked, Hamilton, The Lion King, Hadestown, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, Six, MJ The Musical, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, along with newer additions and plays that are easier to miss during a regular season. Some shows offer all tickets at the discount, while others release a limited number of seats or performances.

How Do I Get Tickets?

Broadway Week tickets are sold through official ticketing partners once sales go live. The official site will release a promo code on January 7th. You must purchase two tickets to activate the offer, and the discount applies to performances from January 20th to February 12th. Seats can go fast, especially for those big-name shows, so logging in right when sales open helps.

Any Additional Tips & Tricks?

Be flexible with dates and seating sections if you can. Midweek performances usually have better availability. Check back if your first choice sells out, as additional seats may be released closer to the show date. And if you are a local, this is a great time to try something new instead of defaulting to the same favorites.
