FIFA World Cup Action Comes Close to Home

The world’s biggest soccer tournament is heading to the New York area in 2026, and fans won’t have to travel far to be part of it. MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford will host eight FIFA World Cup matches, including the tournament’s championship match on July 19th.

Several major national teams are scheduled to play in the area during the tournament, including Brazil, France, England, and Germany. MetLife Stadium will also host knockout-round matches before welcoming the World Cup Final later in the summer.
