When the Butter Group launched Up & Down in the same space that party goers knew as The Darby and Nell’s on West 14th St., they put into fruition their vision of opening a venue in New York City that would become every nightlife fanatics’ favorite place.

The design concept at Up & Down in NYC is that of a classic nightclub environment filled with blue banquettes, an elevated booth for the DJ to spin top music selections, and crown moldings from the walls to the ceilings. That’s what you’ll find on the upper level of this prevalent venue in New York City.

This NYC venue was named Up & Down because it offers two levels of event space and that’s not just for club nights. Event Planners in New York often recommend Up & Down to their clients for private events. It’s one of the few event spaces that offers an artistic and social environment that can help event professionals produce a variety of experiences. So, for multi-faceted events where you can make use of a venue that has two levels, this NYC venue should be prominent on your radar.

Up(stairs)

The upper level of UP & Down offers a:

  • Drop down screen & DVD player
  • State of the art lighting system
  • Built-in stage area

While the upper level is designed for those who are looking for a space that contains a state-of-the-art sound system and wish to deliver an all-night dance party experience, a concert, a stage performance or more for guests, that’s not all Up & Down can deliver.

For a more adventurous and intimate event you can elect to host an event on the lower level. The downstairs is ideal for corporate events because it offers a variety of creative components, including branding opportunities that would be perfect for product launches and fundraisers.
