Broadway Week Returns
Broadway Week gives theater fans one of the best opportunities of the year to see a Broadway show for less. For two weeks each fall, the popular promotion offers 2-for-1 tickets to dozens of participating productions, which makes it the perfect excuse to plan a night in the Theater District.
If you’ve never taken advantage of Broadway Week before, here’s what you should know before tickets go on sale.
What Is Broadway Week?
Broadway Week is a citywide promotion that offers 2-for-1 tickets to participating Broadway shows. The event takes place twice each year, with one promotion in the winter and another in the fall.
About 25 productions usually participate, although the lineup changes from one promotion to the next. That means every Broadway Week comes with a few surprises once the official list goes live.
When Is Broadway Week in 2026?
The Fall 2026 promotion runs from September 14th through September 27th, 2026.
Despite the name, Broadway Week hasn’t lasted just one week for quite some time. The fall promotion now spans two full weeks, which gives theater fans a little more flexibility when they plan a night out.
However, don’t mistake extra dates for unlimited availability. Popular performances can disappear quickly.
When Do Tickets Go On Sale?
Tickets are expected to go on sale on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026, at 10:00 AM through the official NYC Broadway Week website.
The participating shows will appear when ticket sales open, so you’ll know exactly which productions qualify before you book.
If there’s one piece of advice worth following, it’s this: don’t wait until Broadway Week actually begins. Many people purchase tickets as soon as sales open.
Which Shows Will Participate?
The official lineup for Fall 2026 has not been announced yet.
Broadway Week typically includes a mix of long-running favorites, newer productions, musicals, and plays, so there’s usually something for every type of theater fan.
Once the participating shows become available in late August, you’ll be able to browse the full list and purchase discounted tickets directly through the official promotion.
How Can You Get the Best Broadway Week Deals?
A little planning goes a long way.
Have a few shows in mind before tickets go on sale instead of focusing on only one production. If your first choice sells out, you’ll already have a backup plan.
It also helps to stay flexible with your performance date. Weeknight performances offer more availability than Friday or Saturday evenings.
Finally, set a reminder for ticket sales. Your future self will appreciate it.
Broadway Week has become one of New York City’s most anticipated theater promotions for a reason. Two-for-one tickets don’t come around every day, and the extra savings make it easier to experience a new show or revisit an old favorite.
