The Smashing Pumpkins Take the Stage at Barclays Center
The Smashing Pumpkins are bringing a big anniversary celebration to Brooklyn this fall. The band heads to Barclays Center on Sunday, October 4th, at 8:00 PM for The Rats In A Cage Tour, a special show that celebrates 30 years of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
Two Sets, One Big Night
The show will feature two distinct sets. One will celebrate Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, while the other will cover hits from across the band’s career. It’s a chance to hear one of alternative rock’s defining albums get its 30th anniversary moment while the band digs into the songs that made them a fixture of the genre.
The Smashing Pumpkins formed in Chicago in 1988 with Billy Corgan, James Iha, D’arcy Wretzky, and Jimmy Chamberlin. The band became one of alternative rock’s biggest names and built a catalog of hits that still attracts longtime fans and new listeners alike.
Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster, and fans should note that the October 4th date is subject to change due to the WNBA playoffs at Barclays Center.
