May 11, 2022 Mario Stewart

If you have a big event coming up, there's no better way to market it than social media.

Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are your best friends when it comes to getting the word out about your event.

You want your event to generate buzz and be full of guests. Be sure to set a schedule for yourself so you don't get behind in event planning.

This article will teach you the ins and outs of social media event marketing.

1. Create a Facebook Event

In order to attract people to your event, it needs to exist on Facebook.

Facebook events allow people to search for things going on in their area.

Be sure your event on Facebook has a captivating cover photo and an interesting description.

Your description should be compelling and provide all the details people might need for your event. Creating a Facebook event also gives you the opportunity to invite all of your Facebook friends at one time.

Whenever one of your friends click "going" or "interested" the event will show up on all of their friends' timelines.

You can post in the event whenever there is an update that people need to know. Make sure you monitor the event page and answer any questions people might have about the event.

2. Post Behind the Scenes Photos

One of the purposes of social media event marketing is to get people excited about your event.

Do this by posting behind the scene photos as you prepare.

For instance, if you're throwing a party, post pictures of the food you're catering.

If your event is a concert, post pictures of the lineup. You can distribute these photos on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Make sure to take eye-catching photos. Invest in a DSLR to take your photos to the next level.

3. Take a Poll

As you get more and more people interested in your event on social media, it's time to ask them what they want to see.

Utilize polls on Twitter and in your Instagram stories.

This is how you can ask people what they hope to see at your event. You can ask them through a poll if they want chicken or beef. You can ask if they prefer pop music or hip-hop.

Taking polls is a great way to gauge what your guests expect and to tailor the event to their preferences.

It's also a good way to keep them interested in the event because they feel like they're a part of the planning process.

Now You Know the Best Tactics of Social Media Event Marketing

Remember that social media event marketing is all about getting people excited for your event.
